This Yorkie, damaged his leg in the informal settlement where he lives, leaving it lame. His owner who really cares about him, but has absolutely no resources, had tried to fashion a wire mesh support for the leg. When it didnt help and started chafing the paralyses leg, he brought it into the clinic. After attempting treatment we had to conclude that the radial nerve was incurable damaged and the leg had to be amputated. The owner overcame his fears and the negative responses of this community to allow us to do this, and visited religiously though out Lungi long hospitalization. Lungi was ecstatic when he finally walked out with his Dad, who was touchingly thrilled to be allowed to keep his doggy jersey.
Mystery, Brought in with a very broken leg and when x-rayed had a lot more to worry about with 11 pellets scatted in him. He recovered fully but unfortunately died months later from an unrelated illness.
